TO DO LIST FOR STUDENTS IN 60-CREDIT PROGRAMS
For a successful program, please follow the checklist outlined below:
- Complete Counseling Program Application
- Receive acceptance letter from Graduate Studies and Continuing Education Office
- Review Program Orientation Manual & Handbook prior to advising appointment and Sign Signature Sheet (with advisor at appointment)
- Meet with advisor for course planning
- Register for first semester of courses
- Attend Program Orientation meeting (5 pm on the Tuesday after Labor Day each year)
- Complete Disposition Rubric when assigned
- Follow 60-credit course schedule created with advisor. If changes need to be made, inform and/or meet with advisor*
- Attend Clinical Placement Meeting 2 Semesters PRIOR to Practicum
- Research and Obtain Clinical Placement (Practicum/Internship) and sign contract
- Fill out File for Graduation form in November for estimated May Graduation and December for August Graduation
- Fill out bio information and return to department office
- Complete exit survey instrument
- Attend closing conversation with Program Director
*Do not change schedule without formal advisement
