Mindfulness & The Body in Experiential Pyschotherapy: An Introduction to the Hakomi Method

March 25-26, 2017
9:30 am – 5:30 pm
This 2-day workshop will introduce participants to the Hakomi Method. Hakomi is a   body-centered psychotherapy that integrates the dynamic use of mindfulness and somatics to facilitate healing on a core level. The body is viewed as a “map of the psyche” – a doorway into the unconscious beliefs and early experiences which shape our lives, relationships, and self-perceptions. Hakomi allows this core material to emerge safely into our consciousness where it can be transformed and re-integrated. The gentle process of Hakomi evokes a powerful “felt sense” for the individual, allowing them to take  deeper ownership of core material, its integration, and the resulting changes.
